British Member of Parliament, Other Industry Leaders to Speak at the 2nd Annual Exporting Pellets Conference

RICHMOND, Virginia, October 11, 2012 (press release) – The U.S. Industrial Pellet Association’s Second Annual Exporting Pellets conference returns to New Orleans, La. October 28–30. The conference will again take place at the Ritz-Carlton and will be attended by key industry stakeholders.

A highlight will be the keynote address delivered by Nigel Adams, a member of the UK Parliament representing Selby and Ainsty and chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Working Group on Biomass. In addition, panel discussions and workshops on topics such as financing, trading, sustainability and transport will provide substantial and valuable content. Finally, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from leaders in the industry, through round table discussions with CEOs of America’s leading pellet manufacturers and with senior executives from European utilities.

The second USIPA Exporting Pellets Conference comes during a critical period of growth in the biomass to energy sector. In order to meet European Union renewable energy targets, many utilities are turning to sustainable, renewable wood biomass pellet fuel in order to improve the environmental profile of energy generation.
